New Delhi: Deepika Kumari wins 25th gold medal for India in women’s recurve archery singles event of the XIXth Commonwealth Games today.
Archer Deepika Kumari won first gold on Sunday by beating England’s former Olympic medallist Alison Jane Williamson by 6-0.
While Veteran Dola won the bronze after beating Malaysian Anbarasi Subramaniam 6-2 in the third place play-off.

Deepika Kumari was born to Shivnarayan Mahato, an auto-rickshaw driver and Geeta Mahato a nurse in the government hospital in Ranchi.
India’s total medal tally: Gold- 25, Silver-17, Bronze-18. Total-60.
