
NBC 5 sportscaster Daryl Hawks has been found dead in his hotel room in Atlanta Georgia, where he had gone to cover the NBA playoff game Chicago Bulls vs Atlanta Hawks.
As of right now, the cause of death is under investigation and police are waiting for autopsy results.
Daryl Hawks was found unresponsive in his room at about 10:30 a.m by the hotel employees and soon he was rushed to Emory University Hospital where Hawks was pronounced dead at 11:48 a.m.
Sportscaster Daryl Hawks was only 38, and a year older than NBC 5 sports reporter Darrian Chapman who died of a heart condition in 2002 at the age of 37 in 2006. Hawks is survived by his wife and two children ages 5 and 2.
