Tourist falls 50ft to his death from a waterfall in Thailand while trying to take a selfie

An Uzbek vacationer fell 50ft to his death from a waterfall in Thailand after he ignored warning indicators and climbed it in order to take selfies, police have mentioned.
Soipov Abdullokh, 22, who had been stranded in Thailand due to Covid, plunged to his death in Ngao Waterfall National Park, southern Thailand, on Saturday.
Police say Abdullokh and 6 Russian backpackers – 4 males and two girls – had rented motorbikes in Phuket and pushed 230 miles to the park to view the surroundings.

Arriving early on Saturday, the group had hiked down a path to view the 1,000ft waterfall which supplies the park its identify.
Abdullokh then left the path and ignored warning indicators in order to climb the falls and take footage, investigators mentioned.
His mates then watched in horror as he slipped and fell round 50ft to his death, touchdown on sharp rocks beneath.
It took emergency companies round two hours to attain the distant spot, the place they discovered Abdullokh bleeding closely from the top and nostril.
Chalit Sinrojthanakorn, head authorities officer for the nationwide park, mentioned: ‘The deceased walked off the trail set out by authorities to climb the waterfall.

The park ranger mentioned that Soipov had ‘violated’ a ban on climbing the waterfall as a result of he ‘needed to take footage’.
Police mentioned the vacationer’s physique has been despatched to hospital to verify the reason for death and the Embassy of Uzbekistan has been knowledgeable.
